If cannot install .NET framework 3.5 from Windows Update under Windows 8

1. Insert Windows 8 installation DVD
2. Run cmd as administrators

3. Run the following command Dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFX3 /All /Source:D:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess
